Nylon PA66

Polyamide 66 is a higher-strength, higher-heat-resistance engineering nylon than PA6, with greater stiffness and a higher melting point — making it a first choice for demanding automotive under-bonnet and industrial mechanical applications. It's also more hygroscopic and more sensitive to moisture during processing, so careful drying matters. We supply unfilled, glass-reinforced and impact-modified PA66 under our Poliblend Polimid and Domo nylon ranges.

PA66 POLIMID ASG KW Natural Unfilled

Unfilled, natural PA66 injection moulding grade from Poliblend's Polimid range. PA66's higher crystallinity and melting point compared with PA6 give it greater stiffness and heat resistance in unfilled form, at the cost of being somewhat more hygroscopic and requiring more careful drying before processing.

Typical propertiesDensity ~1.14 g/cm³; melting point ~255–260°C, notably higher than PA6's ~220°C; typical unfilled PA66 tensile strength and stiffness; more moisture-sensitive during processing than PA6, requiring thorough pre-drying.
ApplicationsGeneral engineering components requiring higher heat resistance than PA6, mechanical parts, housings.

PA66 GF30% Natural & Black

30% glass-fibre reinforced PA66, available in natural or black, supplied under our Domo nylon range. Combining PA66's inherent heat resistance with substantial glass reinforcement, this is a mainstay grade for structural automotive and industrial parts that need to hold dimension and strength at elevated temperatures.

Typical propertiesDensity ~1.36 g/cm³, typical for 30% glass-filled PA66; markedly higher tensile strength, stiffness and HDT than unfilled PA66 — representative figures for this grade family; confirm exact certified values against the current Domo/Technyl datasheet before specifying.
ApplicationsAutomotive under-bonnet brackets and housings, structural and load-bearing industrial components.

PA66 POLIMID Impact Modified

Impact-modified PA66 from Poliblend's Polimid range. Toughening modifiers improve low-temperature and notched impact performance relative to standard PA66 grades, trading some stiffness for greater resistance to sudden loads and impacts — useful where a moulded part needs to survive drops, knocks or cold-weather use.

Typical propertiesNotched impact strength improved over standard unfilled or glass-filled PA66; some reduction in flexural modulus/stiffness versus non-modified grades; density and heat resistance broadly in line with standard PA66.
ApplicationsHousings and components subject to impact loading, cold-climate parts, clips and fasteners requiring extra toughness.

PA66 A6602 Black - Industrial Grade

Black PA66 industrial grade, supplied under our Domo nylon range. The "A" prefix follows Domo's Technyl A-series naming convention used for glass-reinforced, heat- and mechanically-stabilised industrial nylons, formulated for demanding mechanical duty rather than cosmetic parts.

Typical propertiesProperties representative of Technyl A-series industrial PA66 grades — high stiffness, good thermal stability and wear resistance; exact glass loading and certified datasheet values should be confirmed against Domo's current Technyl A-series documentation before specifying.
ApplicationsGears, bearings, industrial mechanical components and structural parts requiring sustained strength and wear resistance.
