PP Homopolymer

Polypropylene homopolymer (PPHP) is a single-monomer polypropylene, giving it higher stiffness and heat resistance than a copolymer at the cost of some low-temperature impact strength. We supply homopolymer grades from Polychim Industrie spanning general-purpose to high-clarity injection moulding, alongside our own glass-fibre reinforced Unipol compounds for structural applications.

MFI 3.5 - 55 High clarity & glass-filled options Packaging, automotive & technical parts

PPHP POLYCHIM HA31XTF MFI 3.5

A nucleated homopolymer with built-in antistatic properties, running at a lower MFI for good melt strength during processing. The nucleation sharpens crystallisation, giving more consistent stiffness and a shorter moulding cycle than a non-nucleated grade at the same flow.

Typical propertiesMFI ~3.5 g/10min; nucleated; antistatic; higher stiffness than standard homopolymer
ApplicationsGeneral injection moulding, crates and containers, technical parts sensitive to static build-up

PPHP POLYCHIM HB12XF MFI 10

A mid-flow general-purpose homopolymer formulated for fade resistance, holding its colour and appearance better through processing and in service than an unstabilised grade.

Typical propertiesMFI ~10 g/10min; fade-resistant formulation; good stiffness and heat resistance
ApplicationsGeneral-purpose injection moulding, housewares, packaging closures, appliance parts

PPHP POLYCHIM HJ45XI High Clarity MFI 55

A high-flow, clarified homopolymer for thin-wall packaging where appearance matters. A clarifying agent suppresses the natural haze of PP, giving near-transparent parts with good gloss, while the high MFI supports fast-cycle injection moulding of thin sections.

Typical propertiesMFI ~55 g/10min; clarified for high transparency and gloss; high flow
ApplicationsThin-wall food and non-food packaging, containers, high-clarity injection mouldings
UNIPOL-Rby United Polymers

PPHP UNIPOL 20% & 30% GF - Black & Natural

Unipol is our own glass-fibre reinforced PP homopolymer compound, available at 20% or 30% loading in black or natural. Reinforcement significantly increases stiffness, tensile strength and heat resistance versus unfilled homopolymer, letting it stand in for heavier or metal parts in structural applications.

Typical properties20% or 30% glass fibre content; markedly higher stiffness, strength and heat resistance than unfilled PP
ApplicationsStructural automotive components, brackets and housings, load-bearing technical parts
