POM Acetal

Polyoxymethylene (POM), commonly known as acetal, is a high-stiffness engineering plastic valued for its low friction, dimensional stability and strong fatigue and creep resistance. Our Yuntianhua acetal copolymer grades are WRAS-approved, making them suitable for parts in contact with wet or potable water, alongside precision mechanical and automotive components.

MFI 9 – 27 Plumbing, automotive & precision engineering

YUNTIANHUA M90 MFI 9

A general-purpose acetal copolymer with a mid-range melt flow index, offering a good balance of toughness and processability. Its lower flow rate provides useful melt strength for thicker-walled or larger mouldings.

Typical propertiesHigh stiffness and hardness, low coefficient of friction, good fatigue and creep resistance; WRAS-approved for use in contact with wet/potable water.

A higher-flow acetal copolymer grade, better suited to intricate or thin-walled mouldings and faster cycle times where fine detail filling is the priority, while retaining the core acetal property profile.

Typical propertiesHigher melt flow for improved mould filling, high stiffness, low friction, good fatigue and creep resistance; WRAS-approved for use in contact with wet/potable water.
