TPE

Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) combine the flexibility and soft-touch feel of rubber with the processability of a standard thermoplastic, so they can be injection moulded or extruded on conventional equipment without a vulcanisation step. We supply TPE across a range of Shore hardness grades to suit the application.

Available in Various Shore Hardness Grades Soft-touch, sealing & overmoulding

Available in Various Shore Hardness Grades

TPE hardness is specified on the Shore scale – Shore A for softer, rubber-like grades and Shore D for firmer, semi-rigid grades. We can source and supply TPE across this range to match the flexibility, feel and durability a part needs, from soft-touch grips through to firmer functional seals.

Typical propertiesRubber-like flexibility and elasticity, good compression set and grip, processed like a standard thermoplastic on conventional moulding equipment.
ApplicationsSoft-touch grips and handles, seals and gaskets, overmoulding onto rigid plastic and metal substrates.
